e-Refunds

  • Secure: Refunds are deposited directly into your preferred checking or savings account, so your information is secure.
  • Preferred: Not only is e-Refund fast and safe, it is easy setup too! No paper, no waiting in lines ... automatically deposited for you!
  • Convenient: e-Refunds are processed each business day and are made available in your preferred bank account in less than 48 hours. A confirmation email will be sent to your netid@msstate.edu email address.

Student refunds will be made available through MSU's fully automated service. This new service replaces the Bull-e-buck$ refunding program, thus eliminating the need for students to request their account refund.

How to sign up for direct deposit

  1. Log on to your student account through the myState portal.
  2. Click on the myState navigation menu icon in the top left corner and scroll down to choose Banner.
  3. Under Personal Information, select MSU Direct Deposit Bank Information
  4. Enter your Routing and Account Information under Student Account/Travel. Bank account information is requred and must be updated IF your preffered bank account changes. Failure to provide or update this informaiton WILL result in a delay of your e-Refund.

Paper Check Refunds

Paper check refunds will be processed on a weekly basis and emailed via US Postal Service to the student's home address on file with the university.
