Billing, Payment Due Dates, and Service Fees

  • Electronic billing statements are available to students on or about the 15th of each month via the University’s secure myState portal. Students will receive a monthly email notification that their account has been billed. These statements contain a monthly summary of charges and credits to the student’s account.
  • Text Messaging Service Now Available
    Mississippi State University has implemented a new service that will enable you to receive a text message notification when your billing statement has been posted to the QuikPAY ® system. Authorized Payers (typically parents and guardians) on your account may also enjoy the convenience of receiving these text message notifications. This is an optional service. If you would like to use this service:

    1. Access your account in the QuikPAY™ system
    2. Click on User Preferences
    3. Check the SMS Messaging box
    4. Populate the Mobile Phone Number box
    5. Select your Mobile Carrier from the drop-down menu
    These instructions also apply to texting services for Authorized Payers.

    Please Note: SMS messaging may result in additional fees/charges to the payer/authorized payer based on terms of service with the user’s mobile agreement.
  • Regular monthly payment due dates are the 9th of each month.
  • The student’s account will be assessed a monthly 1.5% service fee on any billed charges outstanding beyond the payment due date.
  • Service charges, as well as an “Account Services Hold”, may be avoided by paying the full account balance each month by the payment due date.
